Sound Production | Post #32

Hey everyone, welcome back to another post. Today I will be talking about how I actually made foley sounds (and just sounds in general) in my film. One thing I did was instead of recording breathing sounds live (the room was to noisy) I added in the breathing sounds afterwards in editing. I also added a florescent buzzing sound for ambience. All put together it creates this spooky vibe with all the non-diegetic sounds (ha, terminology and I'm using it legitimately) working together. Unrelated comment but I will also probably add a strobing light effect to increase tension and scariness. I say scariness for lack of a better word.

So anyways, I will also add in a thumping sound for a backpack landing and a scraping sound for a chair getting pulled out. I will likely just record those things as they are and not come up with some fancy way to make them. I will include some video examples below to show you what I did and how it worked out.

Well, that's it for now. I will see you guys in the next one, bye!
